I would choose a codec that is similar (or equivalent to) the codec you're rendering out to. Resolve will generate new media from that clip, base on the settings in the 'General Options' section of the project settings. I can bring the reference into a track above and this works fine, but I’m not able to wipe to it. Is it a flag in the file? My theory would be that I simply have to convert the reference to something else prior to bringing it in as a reference.
